Signing books at Heffers, Cambridge

There's something special about signing books for people in a bookshop and there is no better place than Heffers in Cambridge. Situated just opposite the famous Trinity College in Trinity Street, Heffers has a labyrinth of bookshelves full of bestsellers and classics. The automatic glass doors open invitingly and in you go.
Right at the back of the shop, up and down a few steps, is the children's section. There is a very comfortable and grand armchair for the author to sit in. A few years ago I did my first bookshop signing session there and earlier today I went back to sign copies of the second book in the Windy B series: Windy B - The Snow Race. I wonder if anybody will go in and pick up a copy in the half term holidays next week.
